What PathwayPro is

PathwayPro is a schoolwork platform used by schools. Facilitators set work, learners complete and hand it in, and parents follow their child's progress. PathwayPro is provided to schools; your school decides who has an account and what information the platform holds.

The information we hold

• Account information: name, school email address, role (learner, facilitator or parent), grade and class, provided by the school from its enrolment records.
• Schoolwork: tasks, the documents learners write on, hand-ins, marks and facilitator comments.
• Sign in: learners and facilitators sign in with the Managed Apple Account their school issued. We receive the account identifier and email address from Apple, nothing else. Parents sign in with their email address and a password they choose.
• School records shown to parents: where the school switches it on, attendance, wellbeing and fee summaries the school already holds are shown to that child's parent.

What we do not do

• No advertising, no trackers, no analytics that profile people.
• We never sell personal information, and we never share it outside the school it belongs to.
• We collect nothing beyond what the schoolwork above needs.

Children

Learner accounts exist because the school created them for its enrolled learners, under the school's authority and the consent it obtains from parents and guardians. Learners cannot create their own accounts, and nobody outside the school can see a learner's work: only the learner, their facilitators and their own parent or guardian.

Where the information lives

Data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure (Supabase and Netlify) with access limited to the platform itself. Documents and ink are private to the people named above. Connections are encrypted with HTTPS.

Your rights

The school is the custodian of its people's information; PathwayPro processes it on the school's instruction, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). To see, correct or delete information, contact your school, or write to us at hello@vervecollege.co.za and we will help. When a school leaves PathwayPro, its data is returned or deleted at its request.
